This city is little more than a glorified watchpost on the Sliabh plateau, overlooking the Eorna plains. The city has a small airport which serves as a waypoint for aircraft travelling over the Sliabh mountains. The post is connected to the River laidir by a road that follows the cliff side. Nead serves as a Reithe's southernmost military outpost, and is also the southernmost settlement in the country, despite the fact that Reithe's official borders stretch down to the Taelk desert
