All ships share a similar design language, featuring large armored plates above and below the ship, a mimicry of the Morokwe's own anatomy. The sails extend horizontally out between the two shells like large cloth fins. Usually configured with main sails in the front and guiding sails in the back, the ships have no vertical component, and must twist to achieve vertical rotation The sails arch and pivot, tacking and gybing up and down in smooth, undulating waves
The ships mimic the look and movement of a giant sea turtle, and in groups this has a mesmerizing effect. The ships are intricately engraved with swirling and weaving lines, a tradition dating back to the very first Morokwe sailing ships
Morokwe Wardens patrol the empire's long border regions and are better equipped for longer journeys than most Warden class vessels, with more living space and cargo capacity
Morokwe Corvette class ships are the quintessential Morokwe design. They feature two main sails, heavy armor, and medium ballistic cannons. These ships typically escort destroyers, but are known to engage in small groups on their own
As the Morokwe are not focused on military dominance, their Destroyer class is their largest military ship, fitted with heavy cannon turrets that can extend out from the upper and lower shells. They also have two forward mounted cannons. There are two configurations, one with larger main sails, and the other with two sets of normal-sized main sails. The double sail configuration has a larger cargo bay capable of managing 2-4 Strikers
The Morokwe Striker is unique among the armada in that it has four mainsails in an acute x-configuration, with one set slightly behind the other. The smaller form factor allows this split stance, enhancing maneuverability over the typical Morokwe design
Morokwe Freighters are larger than average, accommodating impressive cargo capacity. They are an elongated implementation of the typical Morokwe ship design, usually having two sets of forward sails, and the typical two sets in the rear. There are two configurations, one with a larger rear cargo door, and the other having two smaller side cargo doors which creates a pass through. Cargo hauling in dangerous areas usually utilize the side door configuration
Morokwe freighters have better than average maneuverability and range
The Morokwe keep strong diplomatic relationships with empires across the galaxy, and their Envoy class is meant to convey their economic and cultural power. They are larger and more spacious than is usual for the class, and they have large windows built into the upper shell armor. While these windows have armor coverings that can be used in emergencies, they are less well defended relative to the rest of the armada. Their bridge design also features more glass, intended to impress
Morokwe Venture class ships are designed for cave exploration, mineral surveys, and cartography. Despite the Morokwe Accord's long history, there are still untamed planets and planetoids tucked away among the stars of the Morokwe. These ships are standard design, but have an crow's nest atop their shell and an extendable glass observation turret in the center of the under shell
For longer exploratory journeys outside the Morokwe accord, the Enterprise class ship is used. This larger ship has two or three sets of main sails and is the largest ship in the armada. The sails are offset and cascading, looking more like wings than fins. This configuration allows for excellent speed and maneuverability for a ship of its size. The bridge is impressive and wide, with three large and advanced ballista directly below the bridge floor. The enterprise has a large cargo bay with a rear exit, which is large enough for a fighter or two and ground vehicles
