Hine is an ascendant Sura of Shadow, and is the youngest Ki Spirit along with Aryana the Sura of Air. Hine is the Sura of silence and isolation. While pain and suffering are what drove Hine to become more powerful and eventually transcend the mortal form to become a Sura, it is also what has driven her to avoid interactions with other ki spirits. Hine's mastery over shadow aether is unfathomable, and she quickly gained the ability to bend the shadow realm to her will. Using this power she has created a barrier through which only the most powerful Neamhni and Shadow Spirits can pass, the only creatures she sees as allies

Hine's pure elemental form is a rhombic triacontahedron, and her elemental form has a graceful, medium build. Her animal form is a black or white swan

Hine's humanoid form is a female Nahuali with medium build. When in the feline Nahuali form, she has panther facial features, jet black fur and blue eyes. In the human Nahuali form, she has dark skin, blue eyes, and black hair. In both forms, she wears loose white strips of cloth that seems to float off of her skin, as if slowly dancing around her body
