This is an old revision of the document!

Hit points

Each creature has hit points, which represent its ability to withstand damaging attacks. When a creature is the victim of an attack that deals damage, that damage is subtracted from the creatures current hit points. When the creature's current hit points reach zero, the creature falls unconscious

Calculating Hit Points
At level one, and every level up to level twenty, You roll your hit dice and add the result to your maximum hit point total. You also add your resolve modifier to your hit dice. Your race determines your hit dice used for calculating hit points.

Additionally, at level one, you receive additional hit points equal to your hit dice, plus modifiers. For these additional hit points, you gain hit points as if you rolled a “six” on each dice

Example
You create a Carragh with a resolve score of 15. Your base hit dice is 3d6+1, and your resolve modifier is +2, so your total hit dice is 3d6+1+2

  • You roll your hit dice (3d6+1+2), and the result is [3]+[2]+[6]+1+2 = 14
  • You gain your additional hit dice, which are maximized: [6]+[6]+[6]+1+2 = 21
  • Your hit point total at first level is 35 (14+21)

Your Carragh levels up to level 2

  • You roll your hit dice (3d6+1+2) and the result is [1]+[4]+[3]+1+2 = 11
  • You add 11 hit points to your hit points from your first level
  • Your hit point total at second level is 46 (35+11)

Healing
When you receive healing, it adds an amount of hit points to your current hit points. Your current hit points may not exceed your total hit points at any time, extra healing is lost
