This is an old revision of the document!

Hit points

Each creature has hit points, which represent its ability to withstand damaging attacks. When a creature is the victim of an attack that deals damage, that damage is subtracted from the creatures current hit points. When the creature's current hit points reach zero, the creature falls unconscious

When creating a character, use your race's hit dice to determine your starting hit point total. You receive the maximum value of your hit dice at level one. Additionally, at level one and every level up to level 20, you roll your hit dice again and add the result to your hit point total. At level 21 and higher, you no longer gain hit points when you level

Example
You create a Carragh, so your hit dice is 2d6+1

  • You gain 13 hit points from your maximized hit dice (6+6+1)
  • You roll 2d6 and the result is [7]+1

Your hit point total is 21 (13+8). Your Carragh levels up to level 2 and rolls 2d6 and the result is [9]+1. Your hit point total is now 31 (21+10)

Healing
When you receive healing, it adds an amount of hit points to your current hit points. Your current hit points may not exceed your total hit points at any time, extra healing is lost
