After their first successful interstellar expedition to Alut'a II, the Samakoel were convinced that Pahre III was the best chance at establishing a settlement. They sought a forested planet with seas and what appeared to be large mineral deposits, and settled on the closer Pahre system. Upon landing, they saw that the mineral deposits were actually geo-thermal vents. The established a successful outpost which eventually grew in size and became the foundation for future expansion into the system
