A pip represents a single dot on the side of a dice. A handful of formulas in the game use pips, and allow their formula to be increased by adding pips
The progression of pips are as follows:
| Number of pips | Bonus gained |
|---|---|
| 1 | +1 |
| 2 | +2 |
| 3 | 1d6 |
| 4 | 1d6+1 |
| 5 | 1d6+2 |
| 6 | 2d6 |
| 7 | 2d6+1 |
| 8 | 2d6+2 |
| 9 | 3d6 |
| 10 | 3d6+1 |
If a formula already has a bonus, such as 2d6+1, then the first pip would improve that formula to 2d6+2, and your second pip would improve it to 3d6
