Kujen is the oldest [[ki spirits#Sura]] and one of the most ancient entities in the galaxy, only [[Wodhnes]], the [[ki spirits#Deva]] of Air is older. Kujen is the Sura of darkness, of the void. In terms of raw power, Kujen is closer to being a Deva than a Sura, but so rarely uses this power in ways that humanoids can relate to. Kujen's mind is vast and scattered, and many of the humanoids that cross paths with Kujen are left with the impression that Kujen is insane. In reality, Kujen has become a fundamental part of the fabric of the universe, and is so diverse as to have difficulty materializing presence in one physical location

As the universe moves into a new stage of enlightenment, Kujen's ability to focus has been heightened to the point of being capable of a mostly coherent conversation, though other related concepts occasionally barge their way into Kujen's thought process. By the same token, Kujen's desire to invervene in humanoid affairs has never been stronger

Kujen's pure elemental form is a [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhombic_triacontahedron|rhombic triacontahedron]], though this form is rarely used. Kujen's humanoid elemental form is denser than the other Suras of Shadow. Kujen has never taken the form of an animal and has no animal totem

When appearing to humanoids, Kujen always uses the humanoid elemental form, never taking the form of any of the humanoid races. Kujen, being ancient and preceding almost all other creatures, deems the humanoid form as limiting and foreign. Similarly, Kujen regards the concept of gender and sexual differentiation to be crude.
