The baumeni watch over and protect the Ulfar, and this city is the closest to [[Saor]], both culturally, diplomatically, and of course, physically. Akarn was founded in 4.64M BCE, roughly the same time as [[Eik Mordr]] and [[Hamr]], as an initiative of the [[Baumeni]] of [[Saor]] to give the dispersed [[Ulfar]] of [[Akkaus]] a place to call home. Akarn remains a strong city of Kilig, and is home to the embassy to [[Saor]]

The city is on the coastline, nestled among a sprawling grove of fruit trees planted shortly after the cities founding. The grove still has a few remaining original trees, which are marked by small shrines. The fruit is used to feed the city, as well as producing a pear cider that all of [[Kilig]] enjoys. The best vintages come from the ancient trees still standing among the younger groves
