====== Pips ======

A pip represents a single dot on the side of a dice. You may purchase pips with [[wiki:talent_trees|talent]] points in order to improve various formulas by increasing the number of dice that you may roll when using that formula.

The progression of pips are as follows:

|7|2d6+1|
|8|2d6+2|
|9|+3d6|
|10|3d6+1|

If a formula already has a bonus, such as //2d6+1//, then first pip would improve that formula to //2d6+2//, and your second pip would improve it to //3d6//.

When a formula may be improved via pips, there is a cap on the total number of pips you may //increase// the formula by. This number is //Character Level + 2//.

**Example**:
A level 2 character takes a talent that has the following formula: 
  * Attack Bonus + Dex + 2d6
This character may obtain no more than 4 pips in this formula, making the maximum formula for this character:
  * Attack Bonus + Dex + 3d6+1
