Marmair is a port city founded along the banks of the [[Caol Passage]], where the [[Damhsa Mountains]] jut straight up out of the water. The city is the main point of trade for the [[Carragh]] that live on [[Fjallen Island]], and serves as a contact point to the outside world. A small contingent of humans are native to the city, who handle the heavy lifting of the city's diplomatic functions. Most of these relations regard mining industry and trade

The city is carved out of the mountainside, which is held up by three large pillars which break up the port into five distinct divisions. Above and between these pillars, the city extends upward along the cliff face. The deeper parts of the city are lit by long hexagonal shafts of quartz which are natural [[keystones]]. These quartz pillars are braced between the stone structures of the city for an effect not found anywhere else on the planet
