The city of [[Fornye]] lies on the western coast of [[Mahi Island]], [[Inis]]' northern island, in the nation of [[Liath]], south of the [[Talasa Wetlands]]

The city is built vertically into the side of a bluff overlooking the bay. Its buildings are made of stone and wood from the forest marshes to the north. Fornye serves as a port for goods heading into [[Talasa]] through the shallow waters of the [[Talasa Wetlands]]. Larger ships transfer their products onto the stream of flat-bottom barges that run between the two cities. Talasa and [[Pragat]] also ship agricultural and artisinal goods to [[Fornye]] for delivery around the western coast to [[Arutal]] as well as north to [[Hamr]]

The plains surrounding Fornye are well suited to grazing livestock, and the citizens make good use of the land, keeping large herds, dotting the landscape. The wool produced is woven into fine coats by skilled workers that adhere to longstanding traditions. The coats are popular across [[Liath]]

Wealthier citizens from [[Arutal]] and [[Soledad]] keep residences on the cliffs surrounding the bay, causing Fornye's population to grow in the summer months as those who can avoid [[Arutal]]'s hot summer months often do so
