The baumeni are a mysterious race, deeply connected to the forests they inhabit. In love with nature and beauty, they watch over and care for life within the forests. They are light-hearted creature who live long lives, largely isolated from the political turnings of the world at large

====Physical description====
Baumeni are similar in stature and form to Humans, except that they have bark like skin, and vine like hair. Their bodies are slender, belying their impressive strength. They have no gender, and usually live between 1,500 and 2,200 years. Some Baumeni have moss that grows on their feet or on their shoulders, or both

Baumeni are on good terms with all races, though some baumeni harbor a mild distrust of Humans. They have a long history of peaceful relations with the carragh, seeing them as brothers, or perhaps distant cousins. They have a fondness for the ulfar and care for them whenever their journies take them into the forests of the world

A baumeni adventurer is a relatively rare sight, but they are a common enough sight in cities and on highways. Young baumeni often travel the world as an unofficial rite of passage into adult-hood, that they might be well rounded and wise in their guardianship of the world's creatures. Older baumeni will usually travel at least once a century to ensure that the world's ecosystems are in balance
