+The kingdom of Shak'tar was formed by the first peoples born to the present day territory of [[Gerth]], when several neighboring villages formed a defensive alliance. More villages and towns would join this kingdom, and its territory would expand west to fill out the entirety of the [[Flaithiuil Forest]]. The kingdom began expansion into the plains where it made first contact with the kingdom of [[Tael'Reshk]], which was expanding northwards at the time
+Relations between the two kingdoms was peaceful for several hundred years, but eventually the political climate in [[Tael'Reshk]] prompted an invasion which led to [[Shak'tar]]'s conquest. The people of the forest, as they called themselves, never forgot this kingdom and would eventually reform it in a manner of speaking, when the opportunity arose.
